EMERSON – Seniors Danny Auriemma and Remy Meyer combined for 33 points to help lift Emerson over Cresskill in an early season NJIC Patriot division matchup Dec. 22. The Cavos survived a late comeback attempt by the Cougars and won their home opener, 59-57.
“Our kids showed a lot of fight, especially when they (Cresskill) went ahead,” said Emerson head coach John Ziemba. “To give up the lead and still come back and win, that’s going to make us stronger as a team.”
