Kaitlin Salisbury of Hawthorne HS long-jumped 18-11, her best indoor or outdoor, to break a 23-year-old meet record, and also setting a meet record in the triple jump at 38-1. She also claimed the 55 meter crown and led off Hawthorne’s winning 4-x-400 in a split of :61.1.
