“We are a lot more than just hitting,” said junior John Apgar, who improved to 6-1 and smacked his sixth home run Wednesday as the Warriors, No. 18 in The Record baseball Top 25, beat Ridgefield, 15-4, in a six inning NJIC crossover matchup.
“I think we have a great pitching staff, and we play good defense. We know what we want to do on the mound, and we get it done.”
Apgar (6-1) and senior ace Ryan Moore (7-1, 1.50 ERA) form a dandy one-two punch on the mound, and will be the key to whatever success the Warriors (19-4) have over the next few weeks.
