ANALYSIS: Pompton Lakes is the champ for the third time in four years. The Cardinals have finished 1-2 with Hawthorne (and last year, 2-1) in each of those seasons. … Glen Rock tied Garfield for third place after tying Rutherford for fourth in 2015-16 and tying Manchester for fifth in 2014-15. Yes, the Panthers have had the same points record as at least one other team three years running. … Manchester logged the most tie games (points get split 1-1) in the league this winter. The Falcons won 6-1 decisions against Mary Help and Rutherford in consecutive matches. … Besides Hawthorne, Rutherford was the only other team in the Colonial to field a top-six average among both the boys (John Lee, 193.28) and girls (Megan Donuhue, see below).

ANALYSIS: Park Ridge/Emerson is 2-for-2 as a co-op program, having won the division in each of the past two seasons. Since the NJIC Patriot was formed in 2011, the Owls have captured three titles, while no other team has more than one. … Palisades Park had the most consistent top-to-bottom lineup, as its four starters and No. 5 sub all averaged between 142 and 156. No other team in the league had a No. 5 bowler average higher than 127. … Leonia had the high four-player game of the season, a 765. … Queen of Peace and Hawthorne Christian ended up with half-points by tying in total wood during their Dec. 19 match. … Bergen Charter has finished .500 better in match W-L in each of the program’s first three seasons. … Harrison’s Luis Quito had a 243 high game in the league, then won high game at the Jan. 28 Hudson County tournament with a 258. … Midland Park notched its most wins since finishing 6-10 in 2009-10, its final year in the old B-PSL.

ANALYSIS: Six-time champ Lyndhurst will take a 101-match win streak into next season. The Golden Bears won both their meetings with North Arlington and Becton by 5-2 counts, and Hasbrouck Heights was the only other team to take a game from them this season. … North Arlington can lay claim to shooting the highest four-player team game (818) and three-game series (2,229) this winter, and the Vikings have three of the Meadowlands’ top five averages (see below). … When Hasbrouck Heights’ current seniors were freshmen, the team finished last in the division. This season’s third-place showing is the Aviators’ best since the NJIC was formed and likely their best in many years. … Wood-Ridge started 0-12 before winning three of its final four. … Paterson Charter doubled its all-time win total. The Lions had won just two matches in their first two varsity seasons combined.
