Park Ridge (6-5) defeated Palisades Park and Kinnelon last week and has won more games this season than the previous two seasons combined. The Owls defeated Palisades Park, 64-62, on a basket at the buzzer by junior F Brendan McDowell.
Junior G Jordan Spagnola scored 29 in the 53-46 win over Kinnelon and averages 18.7 ppg. Sophomore G Evan Burns is averaging 16.2 points and junior F Daniel Gutin seven points and eight boards.
Cresskill win streak hits six
Cresskill (7-3) stretched its winning streak to six with Thursday’s 65-42 victory over Waldwick. During last week’s three wins, senior Kristian Radovich averaged 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals. During the six-game winning streak, the Cougars have held opponents to 39.8 points.
The 1,000-point Club
Senior G Nakie Graham of Garfield (9-2) surpassed 1,000 career points in the fourth quarter of last week’s 62-57 loss to Manchester. He averaged 24 points per game over three games last week to raise his season average to 19.
Wallington senior G Zahier Mitchell reached the 1,000 milestone after scoring 23 in Thursday’s 67-39 loss to Wood-Ridge.
