Becton junior, 107 pounds

Frezzo gave the Wildcats their first state medalist since 2013, placing third. She was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the inaugural Bergen County invitational.

Natalie Vega

Elmwood Park senior, 135 pounds

Elmwood Park has been the epicenter for girls wrestling and Vega has led the movement. She recorded a pin in the county’s first girls dual and went back on the state podium by taking fourth.

Brooke Tulloch

Saddle Brook senior, 135 pounds

Tulloch became the first girl from Saddle Brook to win a wrestling title when she pinned her way through the Bloomfield Tournament. She later took sixth in the state.

Angela Valle

Lodi junior, 143 pounds

Valle wrestled her best when it mattered most, earning second in the region and fourth in the state. The school’s first female qualifier, Valle took home the best medal by a Ram in 12 years

Maria Taseva

Elmwood Park junior, 180 pounds

Taseva, a standout goalie on the girls soccer team, stepped even higher on the state podium this year by taking third. She’ll have a chance to become the area’s first three-time medalist next season.

Christina Braid, Immaculate Conception senior, 161 pounds

Elin Santos, Bergenfield sophomore, 215 pounds
