RIDGEFIELD – After going up and down the Willis Park field at breakneck speed for 75 minutes, with Ridgefield and Secaucus each scoring twice, Patriots forward Dylan Vasquez knew the pace couldn’t last much longer.
“I asked the official how much time was left,” Vasquez said. “He said that there was under five [minutes]. So it just had that feeling that the next goal would win it.”
Ridgefield coach Ken Fugowski agreed.
“The way the momentum was going, it sure seemed that way,” Fugowski said. “I just thought we had the momentum.”
