Midland Park tunes up for States

Midland Park repeated as Group 1-2-B titlist with a 320 that was 16 strokes better than Pascack Hills. The Panthers received a pair of 82s from sophomore Sean Furlong and senior Kyle Sansone and an 83 from junior Matt Diani.

“I’m really pleased with what we did today,” Midland Park coach Dick Bennett said. “A 320 is a good score out there.”

Midland Park is defending NJSIAA Group 1 champion and will join Bergen Catholic, Group 1 rival Pascack Hills and Group 2 Ramsey at Monday’s 24-team TOC at Hopewell Valley GC in Hopewell.
