Saturday, September 25th games

HARRISON 47, ELMWOOD PARK 6 – Senior quarterback Mike O’Donnell threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns Saturday to lead the Harrison football team to a 47-6 victory at Elmwood Park.

Harrison has started a season 2-0 for the first time since 2003. The Blue Tide also have won four straight games, dating back to last season.

O’Donnell rushed for 78 yards and two more scores on 11 attempts, and accounted for six of Harrison’s seven touchdowns in the game. Junior receiver Dustin Huseinovic caught five of O’Donnell’s passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

GARFIELD 13,  LODI 0 – The NJIC Colonial Division game left both schools at 1-2. QB Bryan Vargas was the standout for the Boilermakers with his arm and legs; Running 15 times for 77 yards. He helped clinch the game with an interception with two minutes to play. He also had five tackles from his safety spot.

RUTHERFORD 48, PALISADES PARK/LEONIA 0 (at Rutherford): Senior running back Kevin Kosakowski rushed for two touchdowns, and senior quarterback Tom Reid ran for two more as Rutherford continued its undefeated start.

Reid threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Abellany Mendez, who also had a 16-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs (3-0), who opened up a 27-point lead at halftime, have outscored opponents 129-24.

SADDLE BROOK 47, RIDGEFIELD 6 (at Saddle Brook): Saddle Brook’s Vinny Camillieri rushed for 164 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries to pace the Falcons (2-1).

Camillieri scored on runs of 12 and 2 yards in the first and added two more from 16 and 70 yards out in the third. Saddle Brook’s Andrew Lorenzo hauled in a 15-yard touchdown reception from Kevin Daly in the second quarter and Brandon Johnson supplied a 30-yard touchdown run in the third.

WALDWICK/MIDLAND PARK 26, MANCHESTER 13

HAWTHORNE 23, LYNDHURST 10 (at Lyndhurst) — Jack Fenkart returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown to seal the Bears’ (1-2) victory over the Golden Bears (2-1).

NEW MILFORD 28, QUEEN OF PEACE 0 (at New Milford) — Christian Correa carried 21 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns and Matt McElroy caught four passes for 59 yards and two scores as the Knights (3-0) handled the Golden Griffins (0-3).

EMERSON 47, BOGOTA 7 (at Bogota) — Ryan Shaw had touchdown runs of 6, 46, 20, 20 and 25 yards to power the Cavos (2-1) over the Buccaneers (0-3)

PARK RIDGE 52, WALLINGTON 7 (at Park Ridge) — Jack Lepore went 10-of-14 for 264 yards and five TDs to lead the Owls (1-1) over the Panthers (1-2).

Thomas Morgan had six receptions for 132 yards and three TDs, and Ray Tomatsu rushed for 177 yards and two scores for Park Ridge.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS 53, SECAUCUS 6 (at Hasbrouck Heights) — Frank Quatrone rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on six carries, and went 5-for-6 passing with a score to power the Aviators (2-0) over the Patriots (1-2).

ST. MARY 54, NORTH ARLINGTON 6 (at North Arlington) — Shawan Gresham carried 15 times for 265 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Gaels (2-1) over the Vikings (0-3).
