The Lyndhurst junior induced a game-ending groundout by Leonia slugger Keith Galfo to seal the Golden Bears’ 11-8 win at Veterans Field in Thursday’s North 2, Group 2 baseball quarterfinal.

No. 5 seed Lyndhurst (13-10-1) will travel to No. 1 Madison for the semifinals on Tuesday to face the team that knocked it out of the 2017 tournament.

No. 8 MONTCLAIR KIMBERLEY 6, No. 9 EASTERN CHRISTIAN 4 (at Montclair): The Eagles led, 4-3, entering the bottom of the fifth before the Cougars rallied at MKA Middle School. The winners travel to Rutherford to face No. 1 St. Mary on Tuesday.

No. 8 POMPTON LAKES 15, No. 16 SADDLE BROOK 1 (5 innings, at Pompton Lakes): Evan Cornwell, Justin Garcia and John Tanis each drove in three runs to back the two-hit pitching of Sebastian Spahn at Hershfield Park. The Cardinals (14-5-1) visit Park Ridge Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the semis.

No. 4 PARK RIDGE 6, No. 5 WALDWICK 3 (at Park Ridge): Senior Dylan Triano got it done on the mound (complete game, six-hitter) and at the plate (double, two RBI) to spark the 16-6 Owls at Sulak Road Field. Twin Cole Triano chipped in three RBI, while Garrett Mironenko had two for the Warriors (16-8).

No. 14 BUTLER 8, No. 11 NEW MILFORD 6 (at New Milford): The Bulldogs (8-11) pulled off a second straight upset to advance to the semifinals, where they will visit Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday. Josh Loeschorn and winning pitcher Evan Van Lenten each had two RBI to rally the visitors from an early 5-1 deficit.

No. 10 HASBROUCK HEIGHTS 3, No. 2 EMERSON 0 (8 innings, at Emerson):Pitchers Marcos Ochoa (7 IP, 7 K) and Travis Culkin (1 IP) combined on the shutout for the Aviators (12-12). Dylan Grisafe, Shawn Calhoun and Johnny Capozzi drove in a run apiece in the top of the eighth to disrupt a strong outing by Cavos ace Joe Carmosino (7⅔ IP, 7 K).
