Record Sports Female Athlete of the Week
Kassie Ketcho of Hasbrouck Heights
Sport: Track and Field
Class: Senior. Age: 18
Accomplishment: At the Bergen Meet of Champions, Ketcho won the javelin event with a school-record 128-8 and won the shot put with a county-best 42-3 for another school record. She will continue her track and field career on athletic scholarship at Monmouth University.
“She is very driven and highly motivated, but one of the most fun kids to be around at a track meet. She’s very intense when she throws, but she’s very outgoing and friendly when she’s not throwing. She keeps it very loose in between events. But once the events come, she’s ready to throw. She’s the best thrower in our school history. She’s tremendous.” — Coach Robert Brady
