Carlo Gonzalez, Pompton Lakes

Sport: Soccer

Class: Senior. Age: 18

Accomplishment: Gonzalez, a four-year starter and captain, scored a goal in the 2-0 win over Boonton in the sectional semifinal. He then notched a hat trick in the 3-0 victory over Waldwick in the sectional final to become the school’s all-time goal scorer, giving him 73 goals for his career.

He’s a guy that is selfless; he is the first guy to support a teammate. He is a just a tremendous leader for us; a catalyst for us, and we’re really pleased to have him.”
