rolled a second-place series of 736 to lead Hawthorne to the Group 1 championship over Pompton Lakes, 2,959-2,875, at the North 1B boys bowling tournament. The junior qualified for the Feb. 17 state individual finals at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, while the Bears’ first sectional title since 2013 sends them to the Feb. 19 state team finals at the same location.
