RIDGE — Park Ridge battled around not once, not twice, but three times.

And the Owls would have batted around a fourth time if the game hadn’t ended via the 10-run rule.

Park Ridge rode a wave of hits, walks and Ridgefield errors to Thursday’s 17-7 six-inning victory in NJIC interdivisional baseball at Sulak Field.

“It’s fun when it’s like that for the hitters,” Park Ridge coach Pete Crandall said. “You want to fight to get to the bat rack and get up there again. It doesn’t happen every day.”

Park Ridge (9-6) had 10 hits and drew 12 walks, while rebuilding Ridgefield (5-9) committed nine errors in a variety of ways.
