Class: Senior. Age: 18.

Accomplishment: At the Bergen County Championships, Lucic won the pentathlon (55 hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put and 800 meters) with a school- and meet-record 3,061 points. She also broke the school records in the 55 hurdles and 800 meters in winning those events. At the Group 1 state meet, she won the 55 hurdles and took fourth in the high jump with a season-best 5 feet.

“She’s having a great season. She’s worked extremely hard to win that pentathlon. She’s been training for it. She finished third last year and it was her goal coming into this season to win it. She’s dedicated herself for the past three months for that night and for that event. She really persevered that night.”
