Four Teams from the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference have been awarded “Team of the Year” recognition by the Bergen County Coaches Association.

CROSS COUNTRY  (Group C/D) – Glen Rock High School. Coached by Cara Grady, the Panthers (7-1)  captured the NJIC Colonial Division Championship. The Panthers were also 2nd in the Group C Bergen County Championship. They were the top small school team (group 1/2) in the Bergen Meet of Champions.

FOOTBALL (Group 1/2) – Saddle Brook High School. Coached by Leo Ciappina, the Falcons were 9-2 for the 20012 season , were Co-Champions in the NJIC Meadowlands Division, and a semi-finalist in the North 1 Group 1 playoffs.

 

SOCCER (Group 1/2) TieWaldwick High School. Coached by Jon Nochese, the Warriors were the NJIC Patriot Division Champions. In addition the team had a 19-2-2 record, was a final four team in the Bergen County Tournament, and was a North 1 Sectional finalist.

AND – Wallington High School. Coached by Mike Fromfield, the Panthers complied a record of 17-4-1 and were the NJIC Meadowlands Division Champions. Wallington captured the North 1 Group-1 State Sectional Championship.
