North Jersey Interscholastic Conference

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Forward: Antonia Schettino, Saddle Brook, Jr.

Schettino is off to a fantastic start in her junior year and this week finished with four goals and one assist as Saddle Brook won all three of its games. She was vital in the first two wins this week as she recorded her first career hat trick and added an assist in a 5-1 win over Dwight-Englewood, and then assisted on the Falconsā€™ only goal in a 1-0 win over Wood-Ridge. This could wind up being a breakout year for the junior if she keeps playing at this high of a level.

Midfielder: Poppie Bimson, Rutherford, Sr.

Throughout her high school career Bimson has been known as an attacking midfielder with a great passing touch, and she showed that again this week. She scored five goals across four games, and also picked up five assists at the same time. She even finished with at least one goal and one assist in all four games, which also all ended up as victories for Rutherford. Her last game was her best, as she scored two goals and had one assist in a 3-0 win over Weehawken.
