HACKENSACK – Lyndhurst starred during the first part of the Bergen County girls bowling tournament, and Westwood wrapped it up with a bow on top.

Emily Young and Tyla D’Andrea brought the Golden Bears hardware for high series (601) and high game (254), respectively, in the three-game morning round Saturday at Bowler City.

Westwood emerged from an epic Baker-format tournament in the afternoon with the program’s first county championship. The No. 1 seed outlasted defending champion and No. 3 seed Holy Angels, 4-3, in the best-of-seven final.
