CRESSKILL – The Cougars have played extremely good basketball all season. They have just one blemish on their won-loss record and they kept it going with a 72-54 victory over Saddle River Day Jan. 22.

Although Cresskill features a strong frontcourt duo in seniors Matt Flood and Sean Kelly, the Rebels came to play.

Led by twin brothers Alex and Louis Stein, as well as seniors Bryan Mulligan and Ben Coben, the Rebels started this game out strong.

In the first half, it was a game of runs and back-and-forth action.

The Rebels went into halftime up two, but thanks to contributions off the bench from senior Luke Kushner, the Cougars rallied in the third quarter to a sizeable lead.

Cresskill was leading by 10 points at one point late in the fourth quarter, but the Rebels managed to cut the lead down to four. From there, however, captain Flood took over the game and managed to score eight points in the middle of the fourth quarter.
