NORTH ARLINGTON – The North 2, Group 1 boys soccer finale came down to one important ingredient, one key factor.

Experience.

Brearley had the experience, having won the entire Group 1 championship just two years ago. Many players on that team are still key performers for the Bears.

North Arlington, who started four freshmen, was playing in its first state sectional final since 2007.

It was experience that carried Brearley to a 3-0 victory over North Arlington at Rip Collins Field on Friday to capture the state sectional title.

The Bears scored just three minutes into the game and never looked back.

The Vikings (14-6) tried valiantly but in the end, managed just one shot on Brearley goalkeeper Juan Martinez.
