NEW MILFORD – New Milford has named Dave Wilson its new girls basketball head coach for the 2015-16 season. Wilson returns to the sidelines for the Knights, where he previously served as coach from 1987 to 2001.
A New Milford High School alumnus from the class of 1979, Wilson graduated from Rutgers University in 1984. After a few months as a substitute teacher, he received a fulltime position in 1985 at NMHS as a maternity replacement, where he has been ever since.
Wilson teaches social studies and also serves as the head of the social studies department for the school. On top of his past stint coaching girls basketball and in recreation leagues, Wilson also spent 10 years coaching girls tennis, four years of boys tennis and two years of track and field, all at New Milford.
