Mary Help hoops going independent
The NJIC granted independent status to Mary Help of Christians Academy in girls basketball Wednesday in an unanimous vote.
Mary Help, which made the request, becomes the fourth conference school to go independent in the sport, joining Immaculate Conception, Saddle River Day and Queen of Peace.
The change in status will take effect in the next two-year scheduling cycle.
