GLEN ROCK – Glen Rock was the first to do its part to guarantee that a Bergen County team will win the Group 1 girls volleyball title.

The Panthers defeated the state tournament’s Cinderella, 20th-seeded Harrison, 25-14, 25-14, to become Tuesday’s first of four quarterfinal winners from Bergen County.

BOGOTA 2, CEDAR GROVE 0 (at Bogota): Samantha Gioiosa had 20 kills and Amanda Manzo 26 assists as Bogota (23-3) dominated, 25-10, 25-7.

RUTHERFORD 2, SECAUCUS 0 (at Rutherford): Jessica Rogers had 17 kills and Anna DeCesare 20 assists as Rutherford (23-5) won for the 12th time in 13 matches by defeating the defending Group 1 champ, 25-8, 25-22. Alyson Toman had nine kills and Marian Said 11 digs for the No. 7 Patriots (22-7).

LEONIA 2, KINNELON 0 (at Leonia): Lee Joon Choi had 18 digs as Leonia (24-1) stretched its winning streak to 10 with a 25-19, 25-20 victory. Jennifer Alva added 19 assists and Briana Cahill seven kills to earn a semifinal matchup at Rutherford.
