Meghan Donohue, Glen Rock High School’s rising senior volleyball standout, has made a verbal commitment with Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. and plans to continue her career in the sport with the Leopards of the Patriot League.

Donohue has played with the Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club out of Basking Ridge from last November to July and competed in a national tournament in Minnesota last month. Team coach Greg Chiang had sent girls to Lafayette and felt it would be a good place for her. She said she has been interested in the school since November.

She said, “I visited the school and met with the coach and players and I felt like I fit in even then.” She said coach Terri Dado Campbell was happy with the way she interacted with the team and went to see her play. “I like the way she focused on academics and not just volleyball,” Donohue said. “I can challenge myself academically and continue playing volleyball. It’s Division 1 and a really good school. I really love the school and the team.”
