Harrison HS

Taken From Varsity Aces / by Greg Tartaglia

Harrison, ranked No. 2 in The Record Top 5 (see below), is the only other unbeaten in North Jersey at 10-0 through Tuesday’s 2-1, West Jersey Volleyball League win over Jefferson. Both of those teams were unbeaten in the league going in, but the Blue Tide (6-0 WJVL) now have a leg up on the Falcons (4-1) in the title chase, and you know the Tide is itching to take it after placing second in each of its first three years in the WJVL.NOW… each side still has several matches remaining before we get there, so there are no guarantees as far as a “battle of unbeatens” goes, but go ahead and circle it on the calendar anyway: Harrison will face Fair Lawn on May 2 when the Cutters host a quad match, which also is scheduled to feature Clifton and Bergen Catholic. That’s four of the current Top 5 right there, so the Aces have that day circled, too.One more note on Harrison, which gave coach Nick Landy his 100th career win a couple weeks ago — the Tide are the first of two teams to do that this season… – See more at: http://blog.northjersey.com/varsityaces/41042/boys-volleyball-report-around-the-courts-4-23-15-aces-edition/#more-41042
