The NATA/NJSIAA Pre Season Heat Acclimatization Guidlines are now MANDATORY beginning Fall 2012! Posted on the Home page of the NJSIAA website and also under Medical Issues.
All Coaches (all sports / all seasons) must also take the NFHS Free Online Course “A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention” as well as “Concussion in Sports-What You Need to Know”.
You need an account with NFHS. If you have one, login. If not, get one at nfhslearn.com
Once you register or login:
* Top Left- click on Courses
* Free Courses- and choose the Acclimatization Course (or Concussion Course)
* You can opt to take the test immediately or return at a later date
* Upon successful completion, you can print out a “Certicicate of Completion” to submit to your Athletic Director.
