Lyndhurst’s “Road to 100” has just a few more hills on the horizon.

The NJIC Meadowlands leader completed a season sweep of second-place North Arlington, 5-2, in Tuesday’s boys bowling match at Wallington Lanes. The victory was the Golden Bears’ 97th straight and gave them a four-point lead on the Vikings with four divisional matches remaining.

Lyndhurst improved to 12-0 overall and 78-6 in the Meadowlands points standings, as it attempts to claim its sixth consecutive division title. Senior Ryan Donohue fired a 259 in the third and final game to cap a 705 series, and senior James Podolski struck three times in the 10th frame to help clinch the victory.

The Golden Bears’ next three matches are against Wood-Ridge, Hasbrouck Heights and Secaucus, and they must win all three in order to fulfill the goal stated on the team’s Twitter page as “#roadto100”.
