The Manchester High School boys basketball team stayed on pace with Garfield for the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) Colonial Division lead heading into the final week of the regular season.

The Falcons jumped a big hurdle on Thursday as they defeated Lodi, 75-49, at home in a Colonial Division contest.

Manchester turned it on in the second half after only leading by one, 29-28, at halftime. The Falcons came out of halftime and pulled away by outscoring the Rams, 26-9, in the third quarter. Alex Morales and Robert Williams helped Manchester do in Lodi with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Williams drained seven, three-pointers in the victory.

Outside of the Manchester and Hawthorne Christian boys basketball and Hawthorne girls basketball teams, the rest of the Gazette-area teams are not in the state playoffs and making the most of regular season games.
