Class: Junior Age: 16
Accomplishment: Marinelli, a pitcher, went 4-0 for the week with 50 strikeouts, giving up just 15 hits and no runs. At the plate, the junior was 8-for-14 with five RBI to help Hasbrouck Heights improve to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the NJIC Meadowlands.
“Olivia is definitely the leader of our team. She is one of our captains as a junior. She eats, sleeps and breathes softball. She’s the workhorse. She wants to pitch every single game, every single inning. She high-fives her teammates, every single one of them, as they come off the field, every single inning. She just wants to be the best teammate that she can be for her team to be as successful as they can be.
