Accomplishment: Carmosino helped the Cavos capture the Group 1 championship. In the semifinal, the senior went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run in the 9-8 victory over New Providence. The Cavos then pulled off a miraculous comeback win over Glassboro in the championship game. Trailing 5-0, the Cavos scored eight runs in the seventh inning and won, 8-5. Carmosino helped keep the Cavos in the game as he pitched three scoreless innings of relief, allowing just three hits and no walks and striking out two, to earn the victory. He also had an RBI in the seventh-inning rally.

“Joe is the ultimate team guy. He’s played pitcher, first base, right field, shortstop and third base, and no matter where I put him, I always had 100 percent confidence in him. He’s the epitome of a baseball player.”  — Coach Chris Sommerhalter
