Morgan Santora continues to come through for Saddle Brook, which is off to a 5-2 start. The senior C is 12-for-22 (.545) with two home runs, 14 RBI and four doubles.

 

Hasbrouck Heights senior 1B/OF Rachel Weber helped the Aviators to a 4-0 week last week, going 9-for-13 (.692) with four singles, one double, three triples, one home run, a walk and eight RBI.

 

Junior SS Hannah Douma and senior 3B Leah Mercadante helped lead Midland Park to a 2-1 week last week. Douma went 5-for-9 (.556) with two doubles, one triple, a walk and four RBI. Mercadante was also 5-for-9 with three doubles, a walk and three RBI.

 

Rutherford is coming off a big 4-0 week. Along with outstanding pitching from senior Leigha Goldsack, who went 4-0 and didn’t allow a run while also batting .687 at the plate, senior SS Kristen Wernicki batted .545. Senior OFs Nicole Ciani and Winter Shymko have also been stellar. Ciani is batting .520 and Shymko has a team-leading eight RBI. Goldsack leads Rutherford with a .538 batting average.

 

In their last two contests, Weehawken defeated Bogota 10-1 and Saddle Brook 7-3. The Indians  are currently 5-2. Sophie Chong is 5-2 on the mound with 63 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched.  At the plate she is 12-25 with 8 RBI’s and 2 HR’s. Seniors Samantha Chong and Jennifer Acosta both are contributing key hits as well for the Indians.
