Track and Field Covid Safety Updates from NFHS and NJSIAA

The NFHS Spring Track & Field Committee convened on 4-8 and here are their recommendations for the 2021 Spring Track Season.

 

  1. HJ/PV Tarps:  do not have to be used.  It is recommended that athletes use hand

  2. sanitizer after they leave the pits.  If poles are shared, poles need to be wiped down.

  3. No need for open lanes for the straightway events.

  4. Glove ARE NOT NECESSARY for the relays or throwing events.   However, if implements are share they must be sanitized.

  5. Athletes must retrieve their own implements.
