Baseball Players of the Week
Nick Laccitiello, Pompton Lakes, Jr., IF/P
Laccitiello was tough on the mound, accumulating 15 strikeouts across two outings. He allowed just one run in 11 innings against Garfield and West Milford to bring his season ERA to 0.58. He also poked four hits at the plate, including a double and one RBI to help himself out.
Owen Litvany, Glen Rock, Sr., UTL
Litvany did a little bit of everything for Glen Rock this past week. He twirled five scoreless frames in the Panthersā 10-0 statement win over Pompton Lakes. In that game, he struck out six hitters and scattered three hits. At the plate, Litvany drove in three runs, totaling five RBIs and two triples for the week.
