 Group 2 champion Emerson/Park Ridge added a district title to its long list of achievements this season. The Cavos finished 47 1/2 points ahead of runner-up Old Tappan to win their third district title in school history and first since 2007. The win also snapped St. Joseph’s five-year winning streak.Emerson/Park Ridge coach Stan Woods was named Coach of the Year after a historic season. Woods helped lead his team to Bergen County’s first state championship by beating Delaware Valley in the Group 2 final. He is also the state’s winningest coach with 704 career wins.
