RIDGEFIELD 49, NORTH ARLINGTON 25 (Ridgefield) — Continuing an impressive season, the Royals played well on offense and defense to get past the Vikings and into the quarterfinals. Freshman guard Marilyn Grandov notched a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore forward Jackie Lara added nine points and 14 boards. The two senior starters, point guard Vivianna Carrero (13 points, nine steals) and guard Jonice Concha (12 points, seven rebounds) showed their versatility and helped guide their team to the next round.
SECAUCUS 59, TECHNOLOGY 29 (Secaucus) — The Patriots held a 49-11 lead at halftime and didn’t look back. Senior guards Kristina Ulrich and Julia Peschetti led the way with strong showings. Ulrich finished with a double-double of 15 points and 10 boards, adding six steals. Peschetti scored six, and distributed seven assists. Freshman guard Amanda Ulrich added 10 points and helped on defense with seven steals.

BOGOTA 66, HOPATCONG 37 (Bogota) — After the Bucs built a 20-3 advantage in the first quarter, Hopatcong’s fourth-quarter rally proved to be too little, too late. The Chiefs scored 16 to Bogota’s nine in the final quarter, but the Buccaneers’ lead proved insurmountable. Senior forward Isiah DeLa Cruz set a career high for three-pointers in a game with five, besting his previous mark of three. He finished with 23 points. The Bucs host Cresskill on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
NORTH ARLINGTON 61, SHABAZZ 57 (North Arlington) — The Vikings survived a test from the Bulldogs, but hung on to win by four points. Edgar Caranza paced his team with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds along with five assists. Kevin Cerqueira was a playmaker, dishing out seven assists.
