Saddle River Day 74, Oak Knoll 33: Freshman guard Michelle Sidor had 27 points, seven assists and seven steals as top-seeded Saddle River Day defeated eighth-seeded, Oak Knoll, in Thursday’s North Non-Public B girls basketball quarterfinals at Saddle River.
Senior forward Daniella McMahon added eight points, 20 rebounds and a career-high 10 steals for the Rebels, who led, 40-21, at halftime.
The Rebels face fourth-seeded Morris Catholic in the semifinals Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway.
EASTERN CHRISTIAN 54, NEWARK ACADEMY 52 (at Newark): Freshman Madison Wynbeek had 22 points and 13 rebounds as the seventh-seeded Eagles upset second-seeded Newark Academy. Senior Kelly Tanis added eight points and nine rebounds for the Eagles, who face the winner of Queen of Peace vs. Marist on Saturday.
