ATLANTIC CITY — Mickey O’Malley has been wrestling very well all year long. He’s taken it up another level — to extraordinary — so far at the state tournament.
Hasbrouck Heights sophomore O’Malley raised his record to 46-0 Saturday night when he pinned John Finnerty of Point Pleasant Beach in 2:50 in the 145-pound semifinals at Boardwalk Hall. O’Malley will face overall top seed Mekhi Lewis (37-1) of Bound Brook in the state final today — Lewis won his semifinal bout over Mohammed Farhan of Clifton, 3-0.
