Senior pitchers Taryn DiGiacomo and Jackie Gutierrez combined for 13 strikeouts and a five-inning perfect game as Saddle Brook defeated Wallington, 18-0, in NJIC softball on Thursday at Saddle Brook. DiGiacomo pitched four innings and struck out 10 Panthers in her third career perfect game.
Gutierrez finished the game by striking out the side in the fifth inning.
DiGiacomo also led the offense with a double and five RBI in the game. Freshman designated player Rian Meyers went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three runs scored and an RBI for the Falcons (2-0).
