The key for girls Group B Champion Hawthorne, which scored 126 points, was the hurdles. In the earlier half of the meet, Hawthorne built a great deal of momentum as it posted 1:11.86 in the high hurdles and a 3:43.80 in the intermediate hurdles. Wilhelmina Di Filippo and Kayla Miller ran in both. The pair was joined by Samantha Calkins and Kimberly Corrales in the high hurdles, and by Nicole Bertollo in the intermediate hurdles. Kaitlin Salisbury, a major contributor as always, was part of wins in the 4-x-200, long jump and triple jump.
