The Wood-Ridge senior slid in with the winning run in Friday’s 7-6 victory over St. Mary, capping an improbable seventh-inning rally from a 6-0 deficit.
It was the Blue Devils’ third comeback in four days. Tuesday, Wood-Ridge beat Lyndhurst, 11-10, after trailing by 10 runs. The next day, the Devils beat Weehawken, 10-4, after overcoming a four-run deficit.
The Record Male Athlete of the Week often was the catalyst, going 9-for-11 with seven RBI, six runs, two doubles and two walks during Wood-Ridge’s amazing week.
