NORTH HALEDON — Senior center fielder Eric Luther’s three-run homer in the top of the seventh sparked Park Ridge’s comeback, 8-3 victory over Eastern Christian in an NJIC non-division baseball game Tuesday. Luther, who went 2-for-4, scored twice and drove in two runs, also produced the 100th hit of his varsity career with a leadoff single in the first inning for the Owls. Park Ridge, ranked No. 22 in The Record Top 25, scored six times in the seventh to overcome a 3-2 deficit. Eastern Christian senior center fielder Nick Steiginga went 3-for-4 as well and became the first player in school history to reach the 100-hit mark.

LYNDHURST 9, LODI 8 (at Lyndhurst): Junior third baseman Brandon Karlok’s two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth emerged as the game-winning hit for the 17th-ranked Golden Bears. Karlok had three RBI in this non-division game.
QUEEN OF PEACE 7, WOOD-RIDGE 6 (at North Arlington): Junior catcher Evan Gonazalez’s two-run single capped the Golden Griffins’ four-run sixth inning and was the game-winning hit in a non-division contest.
RUTHERFORD 10, GARFIELD 6 (at Rutherford): Junior first baseman Justin Lopez doubled and drove home three runs and sophomore third baseman Julian Mis doubled and had two RBI for the Bulldogs, who pounded out 14 hits in a Colonial Division win.
