Salisbury, who will receive a full scholarship to compete for the defending Patriot League indoor and outdoor championship program, won the long and triple jump championships at the State Meet of Champions last spring. She also earned a national title last June in the Emerging Elite long jump in North Carolina. The formal fall signing period begins Nov. 11.

“I thought Bucknell seemed like a little bit of Hawthorne in the middle of Pennsylvania,” said Salisbury, who took four gold medals at the State Group 1 state championships last May (100, 200, LJ, TJ) and also finished fifth in the SMOC 100.

“It was hard turning down the other schools, especially saying no to Coach [James] Robinson at Rutgers, who I built a bond with. But I’m very excited to be going to Bucknell.”
