— The fraternity of 100-plus bout winners grew over the weekend as four wrestlers recorded their milestone victories Saturday. Alex Sebahie of Paramus, Kyle Inlander of Ridgewood, Paco Robles of Emerson/Park Ridge and Dan Kilroy of Wayne Hills earned their 100th wins during their teams’ quads.
— Queen of Peace had two wrestlers place in the top eight at the Escape the Rock as Ray Wetzel finished seventh at 120 and Garrett Beam did the same at 152.
— Eight teams will take the mat for a good cause Saturday when Waldwick/Midland Park hosts the fourth annual Joseph D’Augustine tournament to honor the former Waldwick wrestler and football player killed in Afghanistan in 2012. Waldwick/Midland Park, Paramus Catholic, Ramapo, Dumont, Roselle Park, Wallkill Valley, Tenafly and Union City will compete in the dual-meet tournament to recognize the Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient who was killed while trying to defuse an improvised explosive device.
