H.S. Wrestling: Glen Rock steadily improving
Glen Rock High School wrestling coach Corey Fitzpatrick doesn’t like to lose. But when you are building a program with a very inexperienced team, wins are hard to come by. There are only six upperclassmen on the squad.

“My main concern is for the young wrestlers to improve and get better,” he said. “The main thing is keeping the kids positive and keeping them together.”
There are 10 sophomores and seven freshmen on the roster that has only two seniors and four juniors.
He said the recent win over Wood-Ridge showed an upward trend for the Panthers.
“The young wrestlers are getting better and improving since Day One,” the coach said. “We’ve been competitive in a few matches and we are much stronger now then in the beginning of the season when we had to forfeit four matches.”
Seniors Ryan Cosgriff and Jeremy Lipsky, junior Matt Schlett and sophomore Kyle Fisher have the best records on the team.
