* Bogota (15-5), still in the chase for the NJIC Patriot Division title, owns a six-game winning streak behind the strong play of junior F Chris Alcantara. He had 21 points and nine rebounds and played strong interior defense Thursday in a 63-46 win over Emerson. He also had 20 points and 14 boards during a 57-39 victory Friday over Weehawken.

* Senior F Jon Veenstra is averaging a team-high 15.5 points for Eastern Christian (10-10).

* Senior G Clarence Fitchett has been a consistent contributor for injury-plagued Hawthorne Christian (7-7). Fitchett accounts for 12 points, five rebounds and just under three steals per game. Sophomore G David Falcon also has emerged during his first varsity season for the Defenders. He is averaging eight points.

* Midland Park (5-13) posted back-to-back victories last week thanks to its two highest point totals of the season: 75-59 over Saddle River Day and 82-69 over Waldwick. In those games, junior G Garrett King averaged 21 points, senior F Zach VanKat 15.5, senior G Matt Genao 13 and junior G Jake Kavanagh 10.5.

* North Arlington senior G Tim Ford had a busy week that propelled him to the top of North Jersey’s leaders in three-pointers. In victories over Saddle Brook, Hasbrouck Heights and Bergen Charter, Ford combined for 17 threes. He has 68 for the season, based on results reported to The Record through Sunday.

* Rutherford junior G Dominick Mignone had a stellar week during which he averaged 17.7 points, five assists and five steals in three victories.
