Secaucus defeats #17 state ranked Marist 76-50 , to win Hudson County Championship. Congratulations Ladies! Marist entered the tournament as the #1 seed with an undefeated record of  20-0.

Lindsey Mack scored 22 points while Amanda Ulrich and Damaris Rodriguez each added 19 to help lift third-seeded Secaucus to a 76-50 victory over No. 1 Marist in the Hudson County tournament championship game on Saturday at St. Peter’s University.

A strong shooting performance helped the Patriots achieve their second county title in three years.

Ulrich drained five three-pointers, Mack knocked down four and Rodriguez made three.

Ulrich, a sophomore guard, also grabbed 12 rebounds and had seven assists. Mack also posted a double-double as she recorded 10 rebounds. Rodriguez, a freshman point guard, finished with seven boards.

Secaucus carried a 44-37 lead into halftime, and outscored the Royal Knights in the fourth quarter, 15-3, to lock up the victory.

The Patriots are the top seed in the North 2, Group 1 tournament, and will play No. 16 University Charter in the first round on Tuesday.
