Someone finally rose above Anne Donovan.

Michelle Sidor passed the legendary basketball icon becoming the all-time leading scorer in Bergen County history. Donovan’s mark was 2,582. Kerry Dressel was second at 2,566.

The Saddle River Day senior guard passed Donovan on Saturday afternoon in the fourth quarter by swishing a three-pointer as the Rebels were up against Teaneck. The shot put her at 2,584 and gave her the title as top scorer in Bergen County.

Sidor, who has committed to Michigan, entered Saturday’s contest third on the all-time list. She passed Kerry Dressel (2,566) and Donovan (2,582). The Rebels, who reached the Tournament of Champions semis last year, are now 4-0.

Former Kennedy star Nicole Louden is North Jersey’s all-time leading scorer with 2,928 points. That is believed to be the fifth most in state history. Only three women in New Jersey have gone over the 3,000 point barrier.
