The New York Giants and Gatorade have selected Nick Delcalzo of Hasbrouck Heights as the 2018 winner of the Lou Rettino High School Football Coach of the Year.
Delcalzo led his alma mater to a 12-0 season and 33 wins in its last 34 games.
The Aviators routed Butler, 41-7, at MetLife Stadium in the inaugural North Group 1 bowl game.
The Aviators outscored their four postseason opponents, 122-20, en route to the bowl game victory.
A $4,000 check will be awarded to the Heights’ football program from The Giants Foundation and Gatorade.
Coach Delcalzo will also be flown down to the 2019 NFL Pro Bowl Game in Orlando, FL for a weekend filled with special events honoring all of the NFL High School Coaches of the Year winners from all over the country. Congratulations to Coach on this wonderful award.
