Bogota went into this Top 20 matchup against West Morris looking to keep its perfect season alive and that’s exactly what it was able to do. Behind another stellar outing from Nylene Mateo, Bogota, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20 downed No. 12 West Morris, 25-15, 25-18 in Chester. Mateo’s 16 kills led the way and Kiara Polanco chipped in with eight kills of her own. Amber Vazquez recorded 26 assists and Julianna Corniel had 20 digs.
The win bumps Bogota to 11-0 on the season and still has yet to lose a set.
Lauren Davies and Lauren VanderLaan picked up a total of 13 kills in the loss for West Morris, which drops to 9-3 on the season. Sophie DeFaria had a team-high 16 digs and Davies added 11. Annika Massa picked up 11 assists.
