North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Players of the Week
Alex Picinich, Elmwood Park, WR/DB, Jr.
Elmwood Park won its third game in a row Friday with help from Picinich on both sides of the ball. The junior caught four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown, including a 15-yard strike in the second quarter. Defensively, Picinich intercepted two passes and finished with five tackles in a 40-14 win over Harrison.
Jonathan Williams, Becton, RB/LB, Sr.
Williams exploded for 244 yards and four touchdowns Friday when Becton defeated Cresskill, 49-7. His longest touchdown run went for 75 yards in the third quarter. The senior also broke free for a 60-yard score en route to the highest rushing total of his career. Defensively, Williams added four tackles to help Becton improve to 4-1.
